Custom Sauce Cups

AI-generated printed-product concept, not an actual product photograph or customer case. Sample branding is illustrative; materials, construction and availability require confirmation.

Printed paper sauce cups, also called portion cups or condiment cups, for restaurants, fast-food and fried-chicken shops, delivery kitchens and food brands that serve dips, dressings and sauces on the side. This page covers small paper portion cups only. They are a different product from drink cups (see custom paper cups) and from flexible spout pouches used for bulk or retail sauce (see sauce and baby food spout pouches). The buying decisions are capacity, rim and closure, the inner barrier against oil and acid, and how a very small surface carries your branding.

Compare Options

Sauce Cup Options to Compare

This comparison explains options commonly used in the market; it is not a list of what is fixed for your order. Capacity, coating, lid and the final specification for your order are confirmed in the quotation and on physical samples.

Capacity and rimPortion cups are sized in ml or oz for a dip, dressing or condiment serving. Lid and film fit are set by the rim diameter, not the nominal capacity, so state both.
Inner coatingThe inner barrier holds back oil and moisture. Common market options such as PE, PLA and water-based coatings behave differently with oil, acid and heat; see PE vs PLA vs water-based coating. The coating is chosen from your sauce and market.
Snap-on lidA fitted lid pressed onto the rim, suited to cups filled at the counter or in the kitchen. A see-through lid lets the customer identify the sauce; the lid material and fit are confirmed in the quotation.
Sealing filmFilm heat-sealed onto the rim, suited to portions filled in advance on a sealing machine. The rim and film must match your machine.
PrintingA portion cup has a small print area, so simple logos and flavor names read best. Several flavors can share one cup design and be told apart by a printed lid label; see custom labels and stickers.
Filling and transportHot filling, oily or acidic sauces, holding time and delivery all affect leaks and softening. These are checked on samples with your sauce under agreed conditions.

FAQ

Custom Sauce Cup Questions

Do oily or acidic sauces need a different inner layer?

They can. Oil, acid, salt and filling temperature all affect how the inner barrier of a paper cup performs over time. Tell us the sauce, its temperature at filling and how long it stays in the cup, and the inner coating for your order is confirmed in the quotation and checked on samples with your actual sauce.

Should I use a snap-on lid or sealing film?

Snap-on lids suit cups filled to order and let customers open and reclose them. Sealing film suits portions filled in advance on a sealing machine and shows clearly when a cup has been opened. Either way, fit depends on the rim diameter, so send your lid, film or machine details.

Can I print one cup design and mark flavors on the lid?

Yes, some buyers keep one printed cup design and identify each flavor with a printed label or sticker on the lid, which reduces the number of printed cup designs. We also make custom labels and stickers; whether a label suits your lid and sauce is confirmed in the quotation.

How is leak testing done?

We agree the sauce, fill level, closure, temperature, holding time and transport conditions with you, and check samples under those conditions. We do not quote a fixed leak or holding result without that test.
